We are seeking a sensational Hotel Catering Sales Manager to join our team. As the Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving catering sales revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring the successful execution of events. This role requires strong sales acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 / yr.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new catering sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create customized menus and packages tailored to client needs.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including menu selection, logistics, and staffing.
- Conduct site tours and client meetings to showcase facilities and discuss event requirements.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and pricing agreements in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to develop strategies for promoting catering services and special events.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction throughout the catering process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Renaissance brand and or Marriott brand experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred or applicable years of experience can be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel catering sales or event planning, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, catering best practices, and event planning logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering/event management software (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce) preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client events and meetings.
- Certification in Hospitality Sales and Marketing (CHSP) or Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) a plus.
