About The Position
**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse **Job Specialty:** Cardiac Cath Lab **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 34.50 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years RN experience, 2 years of telemetry & CCL experience **License:** RN License **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS **Must-Have:** EPIC experience highly preferred **Job Description:** - Deliver patient care using the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care and apply the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational standards. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking in management. - Integrate assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans. - Prioritize all aspects of patient care including education, rounding, coaching, and planning post-hospital care, delegating as appropriate. - Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, transitions, health promotion, and disease prevention. - Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. - Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model and demonstrate effective resource allocation. - Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance patients' perceptions of care. - Role model Relationship-Centered Care through actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding. - Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families. - Identify and escalate safety hazards and opportunities for improvement. - Engage in peer and institutional review processes and collaborate on quality improvement projects. - Perform charge nurse duties and coordinate with managerial staff to ensure resource appropriateness. - Document accurately and comprehensively in compliance with legal and hospital standards. - Facilitate patient throughput during shifts. - Advance clinical competence and support colleagues' development. - Participate in shared decision-making and unit initiatives. **Education:** Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An Associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN Program. **Languages:** Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak)
