About the Job
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)
- Location: Medford, OR
- Compensation: $60 to $66 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL) through the provision of technical assistance to the cardiac catheterization team
- Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders
- Assists in the performance of various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Produces high quality images by panning the table for cases and adjusting radiation parameters, and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
- Sustains a high level of patient care by communication with the patients, families, and physicians and co-works to address the physical, general, and psychosocial needs of the patient
- Assists cardiologist during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires, and other necessary inventory and medications as ordered
- Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines
Education Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
- Must possess a certificate or diploma from an accredited academic institution in one of the following: Radiologic Technology (RT) program, Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program, Ultrasound Program, Nuclear Medicine program, or related Diagnostic Imagery programs
Experience
- One (1) year of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, or Electrophysiology Technician experience (required)
- One (1) year of experience working in an acute inpatient setting
Licenses and Certifications
- National Certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) (required)
- Radiology Technologist Fluoroscopy Certification (RTF) (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for providers issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (within 180 days)
