Job Title: Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinator
Location : Fort Leavenworth , KS 66027
Job Type : Full-Time
Hours of Operation : 7 :30am to 4:00pm, a normal 5-day, 40 hour week, Monday through Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the Catholic population on the base. In collaboration with the Catholic Chaplain and Priest, this role will ensure the smooth execution of religious services and activities in accordance with the teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. By assisting in coordinating and facilitating various pastoral responsibilities, the Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing spiritual environment for the Catholic community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Catholic Chaplain and Priest, assisting in the planning and coordination of religious services, events, and programs.
- Collaborate with the Chaplain and Priest to prepare for liturgical ceremonies, Masses, sacraments, and other religious observances.
- Act as a point of contact for the Catholic community at Fort Leavenworth, responding to inquiries, providing information, and offering pastoral care as appropriate.
- Assist in the organization of special religious events, such as retreats, workshops, and study groups, tailored to the needs and interests of the Catholic community.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, donations, and relevant information related to the Catholic community.
- Facilitate effective communication within the Catholic community, keeping members informed about upcoming events, changes to schedules, and relevant announcements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Catholic teachings, liturgical practices, and Church traditions.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse community.
- Proficiency in using standard office software and tools for scheduling and communication.
