CCAT Tool Technician (AMPP Basic) - KTA-Tator, Inc.

Elzly Technology Corporation (Elzly) is recruiting a CCAT Tool Technician & CCAT Auxiliary Tool Technician in Norfolk, VA; Mayport, FL; San Diego, CA; Everett, WA; and Pearl Harbor, HI. Elzly is a growing consulting-engineering firm that provides technical services for corrosion prevention and control. Our services include assisting our clients with field investigations of corrosion phenomena, research and testing of materials, developing training materials, and development of specifications. Required Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and one of the following: related military experience, completion of trade/industrial school, or trade experience.

Required Certification*: AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector (Formerly NACE CIP Level I) or Navy Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) course.
*No certification required for CCAT Auxiliary Tool Technician position

Desired Experience:

• Approximately three (3) - five (5) years of experience that is related to corrosion control and tool maintenance on U.S. Navy ships and submarines.
• Experience with surface preparation tool maintenance, repair and/or consumable selection.
• Experience repairing and maintaining an extensive variety of surface preparation and paint application tools.

Physical Requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth vision, ability to adjust focus, work from a ladder or lift occasionally, safely lift 20 pounds, walk on uneven ground or terrain, work in confined spaces, crawl for extended periods of time, enter 24” diameter space, hearing, work outside (including inclement weather), manual dexterity (to handle small objects, instruments, or gages), wear a respirator, speaking and smelling.

Salary Range*: $21.86-$37.49/hour
*Rates provided from SCA, final rates to be determined by the contract and based on certifications, experience, and location.
