Technical Professionals Group (TPG) is searching for a professional CDL A Driver to perform designed test routes on public roads conducting prescribed known and unknown deficiencies during testing of intended vehicle failures. Additionally, will make observations of vehicle performance, ride, quality, and component failures. Records observations in logs or electronic data systems as requested. Works under the general direction of the Project Manager and/or receive direction from the TPG Account Manager (where applicable).Essential Job DutiesSafely operate CDL A vehicles in a wide range of testing conditionsFollow detailed instructions for vehicle and component preparation to begin testing. This may include but is not limited to full visual inspection of vehicle including tires, glass, body panels and interior. Checking all vehicle fluids, air pressure, and function of componentsCollect data through various data acquisition systems and communicate in accordance with customer protocolAbility to stay in compliance with 60/7 driving regulations with ability to drive round-trips up to 300 miles per shiftOther duties as requestedInterpersonal Able to work cooperatively in diverse & challenging environment. Good verbal and written communication skills.Flexible and receptive to new requests.Education & Certifications High School diploma or GEDClass A Commercial Driver's LicenseTractor-TrailerSafetyAble to drive safely in various conditions, follow policies and take ownership for working safely to avoid risks to self and othersMinimum of 3 years of driving experience with excellent driving record Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free. Alcohol consumption not permitted 8 hours prior to beginning of start of shift.Able to safely drive in heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions.May support training of others on performance and safe driving skills.Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested.Physical and Environmental Job RequirementsSitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, carrying, and lifting items of up to 25 lbs. or moreProlonged routine sitting for 2 or more hours, and evening driving may be necessaryMust be able to work in adverse weather conditions; dusty, hot weatherAbility to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels IMPORTANT ITEMSSafety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free and pass drug screen.
