SUMMARY
Safely transports product between plant and warehouse. Also moves finished goods and supplies to designated areas ensuring all associated documentation is accurately filled out and properly submitted.
Responsibilities
+ Fulfill all DOT requirements as prescribed.
+ Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Forklift Operator.
+ Provide assistance in the training of Forklift Operators
+ Verify accuracy of shipping documentation both for carrier, and customer.
+ Perform cycle counting as assigned.
+ Perform consolidation efforts.
+ Validate pick pack and staged orders.
+ Ensure trailers are properly loaded with respect to stability and weight distribution of the finished product.
+ Ensure trailers are braced when disconnected from tractor and placed in a dock door.
+ Perform daily inspections of transportation equipment.
+ Perform daily inspections of site yards, performing yard-checks.
+ Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards as prescribed.
+ Be willing and capable to work an 10 or 12 hour shift schedule, which could include weekdays, weekends, days and or night shifts .
+ Fulfill other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
+ Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and Logistic Managers/Supervisors.
+ Follow verbal and written instructions.
+ Adhere to safety policies and procedures in compliance with company guidelines.
+ Visually inspects warehouse area for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards, employee’s safety, and adherence to policies and maintains compliance with housekeeping rules.
+ Diploma/GED.
+ Be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly.
+ Must have CDL with a minimum of one year experience with a clean record.
+ Ability to do functional math: (i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide)
+ Forklift Certified
