Job Duties:
- Manage assigned school in accordance with company financial and budgetary guidelines.
- Hire, train, and supervise teachers and other staff.
- Manage 12 - 15 staff members
- Effective set and create work schedules
- Preferred experience in executing Quality Rated classroom and teacher standards
- Operate the school according to state licensing standards
- Assist teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities.
- Purchase supplies, equipment, food and other materials necessary for program operations.
- Execute marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to maintain desired enrollment.
- Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Applicant must be knowledgeable of Bright From the Start rules and regulations.
- Oversee state funded programs, CACFP and GA PREK
- The director will make sure that the center's physical facilities comply with local, state and federal laws and are a safe and appropriate environment for children.
- Must be willing to meet needs of building which includes, but not limited to, drive van, attend field trips, fill in classrooms if additional help is not available
Hours: 6:30am - 3:30pm, 8am - 5:30pm including extended lunch (flexibility required)
Pay Rate: starting at $15/hr, with opportunity to become salaried after 90 day probationary period
Requirements:
- Minimum requirement of at least one year of pre-school management experience
- TCC or CDA required.
- Must be a team builder, highly organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills
- Flexible and energetic
- Have the ability to juggle multiple duties
- Detail oriented
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Computer proficient including Word, Excel and ability to learn other programs quickly
- Must pass a criminal background check
