Sylvan Learning Center - Center/Education Director Position

Join Sylvan Learning Center as a Center Director and play a pivotal role in managing the growth and success of the Sylvan of Wilton, NY learning center. Experience gratification daily as you oversee the teaching and learning experiences for all your Sylvan students and teachers. This position offers you the opportunity to lead a team, engage in marketing outreach to build a community network, enrich the lives of every student and family you meet, and drive the overall success story of the center.
GENERAL SUMMARY
- Manage overall student, teacher, and family experiences, sales, and marketing strategies
- Oversee day-to-day operations and lead a team of staff
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure timely and high-quality service responses to current and prospective Sylvan families
- Monitor and track student academic growth and recommend interventions for improvement
- Select, develop, motivate, review performance of, and coach teaching staff
- Communicate and collaborate with schools administrators and teachers
- Participate in marketing and sales activities
- Ensure adherence to Sylvan operating standards
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Four-year degree required - Degree in the areas of Education preferred
- Minimum of two years administrative or management experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms required
- Experience in sales recommended, but not required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Proven ability to supervise and develop staff
Location: Sylvan of Wilton, NY: 14 Mountain Ledge Drive Suite 2 Gansevoort, NY 12831. (Will also consider changing location of offer to the Glenville, NY location for the right candidate)
