Center Float Teacher - Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center

We are seeking a dedicated EEC certified Full-Time Center Float Teacher to join our team. You will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. Center Float Teacher Responsibilities:

• Gain a positive, hands-on experience floating between infant, toddler and preschool classrooms.
• Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.
• Work an 8-hour schedule between the hours of 6:30am-6 pm.
• Create an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that helps promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff, parents, and children.

Center Float Teacher Requirements:

• Infant/Toddler and Preschool EEC certification.
• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.

• Patient, creative, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
