A successful Clinic Medical Director is intrinsically motivated, challenge-driven, rethinks traditions and genuinely cares about employees and patients. The Clinic Medical Director acts with an owner’s mindset, cultivating new ideas for driving business performance by leading the clinic team, managing financial outcomes, and supporting patient retention and growth through effective operations and direct patient care.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
- Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow.
- Attend staff and departmental meetings.
- Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
- Propose improvements to processes and workflows.
- Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
ABOUT YOU
- Active MD, DO, NP or PA license, board certified or board eligible; family, IM/Peds or emergency medicine.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting.
- Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages.
- 1+ year leading others in a healthcare setting.
- Understanding of financial statements and HR business processes.
- Active listener that uses soft skills to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal, time management, planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
