The Centralized Admissions Coordinator for our Massachusetts based Skilled Nursing Facilities is responsible for managing the admissions process, including insurance verification and authorizations for prospective residents. This role ensures a seamless transition into the facility, coordinates communication with clinical liaisons, insurance companies, and our facilities to meet the needs of incoming residents.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Work closely with external marketing and clinical liaisons

·         Verify insurance coverage and benefits for incoming residents, ensuring all necessary authorizations are obtained prior to admission.

·         Collaborate with insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve any issues related to coverage or authorization.

·         Ensure all information that is received through our referral tracking system is accurate and updated.

·         Obtain initial Managed Care authorizations.

·         Update admission information on new admits coming daily, including contact information, insurance identifiers, etc.

·         Communicate any community referrals received to the appropriate buildings for clinical review and possible placement.

·         Additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

·         Previous experience in admissions or insurance verification in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is required.

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Proficiency in electronic health record (PCC) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:This position is office based in a centralized office.
