Join the vibrant team at American Forest Management, Inc. (AFM) as a Central American Operations Analyst in Charlotte, NC. This position will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the company's processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance productivity. They will collaborate with various departments, including teams based in Central America, to streamline operations, support and improve overall business performance. Reporting to the Director of Northern Operations, this role plays a pivotal part in coordinating and managing key projects for our Central American Clients.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve client relationships and level of satisfaction with AFM services.
- Coordinate and facilitate achievement of critical reporting deadlines as specified in client contracts and agreements. This includes timely delivery of annual client reports, quarterly client reports, monthly activity reports / financial statements and other special reports as required.
- Coordinate and facilitate achievement of critical planning project deadlines as specified in client contracts and agreements. This includes timely delivery of the annual long-term management plans (harvest schedules), annual harvesting and merchandizing plans, annual management plans and operating budgets.
- Coordinate and facilitate achievement of critical deadlines for annual forest inventory processesin CA. This includes timely inventory design, collection of permanent and temporary inventory plot data, inventory processing and delivery of long-term yield projections.
- Coordinate, facilitate and promote transparency and communication between AFM accounting, IT, technical services and Central American operations.
- Coordinate, facilitate and promote internal information sharing and improvement of data systems.
- Coordinate, facilitate and promote internal identification, awareness and communication of process bottlenecks and opportunities to improve business and technical systems.
- Coordinate, facilitate and promote needed process improvements and support implementation of cost-effective solutions.
- Track and report status and progress toward reporting, planning and inventory project goals and other CA operations initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must be skilled in project management and problem-solving to achieve timely completion of deliverables.
- Must be available for periodic international travel between the US, Panama and Costa Rica.
- Must be able to collaborate with various AFM staff across regions and organizational units as team leader and/or team member for Central American projects and tasks.
- Must be able to navigate obstacles and negotiate with Central American stakeholders to ensure that key projects are executed in compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices.
- Must be able to track and organize workflows effectively.
- Able to work independently and effectively prioritize workload.
- Able to develop and maintain robust, positive and constructive working relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and customers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive customers and internal corporate information.
- Must exhibit exceptional customer service skills.
- Non-U.S. citizens must possess valid immigration status and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Requirement:
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, forestry, forest management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in forest management / operations with specific experience in production reporting, inventory processes and budgeting.
- Demonstrated skills in project management.
