Central Mixing Facility Billing and Insurance Manager - ENT And Allergy Associates

ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Central Mixing Facility Billing and Insurance Manager for our Central Mixing lab in West Nyack, NY.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage a team of 12 employees - in office and remote
• Interview new potential employees
• Train new hires
• Approve timecards and PTO requests, making sure the department is appropriately staffed to complete day-to-day operations
• Educate staff on job requirements and expectations
• Complete annual employee reviews
• Counsel employees and perform disciplinary action if needed
• Order and receive supplies from various vendors
• Liaison between patients and billing department
• Obtain insurance benefits for 95165
• Knowledgeable on every insurance and their limitations for 95165
• Calculate and explain any out-of-pocket cost to patients
• Pack and ship vials to every location within the company
• Double check the boxes and labels on vials from the mixing staff to ensure there are no errors prior to shipping
• Enter billing data and drop charges for every patient mixed in NY, and when coverage is necessary in NJ
• Assist doctors with any serum related questions and provide guidance when needed
• Multitask and document between numerous interfaces to perform day to day tasks to be sure things are done properly
• Able to perform any task and provide coverage within the department when needed
• Work with billing department, CBO and office staff when issues arise to sort out any miscommunication
• Help the mixing staff whenever they need assistance on an order to be sure they are mixing within insurance limitations
• Ensure pneumovax is shipped from NY & NJ lab in a timely manner and keep Nicole Riley up to date with amount we have on hand and going out the offices
• Reach out to CBO and billing department staff with any inquiries to be sure things are done correctly within CMF when help is needed
• Keep doctors and nurses aware when CMF can/cannot ship due to weather restrictions
• Review all working tasks from billing or within EMR inbox throughout the day
• Keep staff informed on new policies and procedures

Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
