Rome Health is currently seeking a Central Scheduling Coordinator to work on our Patient Access Services Team. The Central Scheduling Specialist's duties will include:
- Working collaboratively with service departments to best build and schedule patients based on staffing levels, provider schedules and length of service.
- Building Scheduling blocks for designated services based on service lines and hours of operation.
- Scheduling appointments with outpatient departments according to time frame established by departments.
- Answering multiple phone calls for referring offices as well as patients seeking to schedule/cancel or reschedule procedures.
- Training New Hires onboarding with Central Scheduling as well as serves as a mentor/coach to provide feedback to associate schedulers.
- Cancels & Reschedules visits as needed based on patient needs or referring office needs.
EDUCATION,TRAINING,EXPERIENCE,CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Work in an acute care hospital, physician's office, or other health care agency desirable but not mandatory.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Previous "Patient Access" or Registration experience preferred/desired but not required.
- CHAA/CHAM Certification preferred not required.
