Job Summary:
A Central Supply Technician maintains par levels and inventories for nursing units and in departments and fills orders from Material's Management storeroom inventory.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
One year in healthcare/medical setting preferred.
Language/Communication Skills:
English required. Multi lingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elemenatry to professional.
Mathematical Skills:
Skill in adding and subtracting two digit numbers.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning capabilities whenever necessary when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff. Critical thinking skills a must. Must have reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do. Must possess purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inferences, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based.
