What You’ll Be Doing:
The Centralized Make Ready Director is the senior leader overseeing the make ready process for a portfolio of Equity Residential apartment communities and is accountable for delivering on our resident commitments of exceptional move in, total satisfaction and personal attention. The Centralized Make Ready Director leads all aspects of the portfolio's ready process planning and execution. This individual is involved in the direct management of the Centralized Make Ready Team and partnering with each of the on-site Property Managers regarding make ready project completion time, budget preparation, inventory and expense control. The Centralized Make Ready Director is instrumental in helping Equity Residential deliver on its brand promise by delivering an exceptional move in experience. Local travel within the portfolio is required.

- Reviews property management system (MRI and Ops) data related to the financial performance of the portfolio and makes recommendations to the Area/Regional Facilities Manager and Property Manager to address concerns related to general ledgers accounts applicable to the make ready process.
- Manages relationships with all make ready vendors and addresses performance gaps with respect to the agreed upon scope of work.
What You’ll Need To Thrive:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License required if employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) in their role. This varies by location.
- 3 or more years of Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience required.
- EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II or Universal certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire if required based on the needs at the community
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Office team employees, with limited exceptions, are required to use their own Smartphone to perform certain aspects of their job
Bonus Qualifications:
- Management of complex communities or multi-site experience
- Project management experience
- Hands-on general service maintenance experience
Pay Range: $88,091- $107,667
