Centralized Receiving Coordinator - Central Health

The Centralized Receiving Coordinator oversees receiving operations, deliveries to various locations, and assembly of minor furniture items such as wheelchairs. In close collaboration with the procurement team, this role is responsible for receiving shipments, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service in a healthcare or similar setting.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with procurement staff to compile a list of expected deliveries.
• Receives shipments, unloads packages from trucks, and signs paperwork upon receipt.
• Inspects contents to ensure they are undamaged and verifies accuracy according to orders and invoices.
• Contacts suppliers or shippers to resolve any discrepancies or errors.
• Manages returns for unsatisfactory shipments and coordinates replacements as needed.
• Labels deliveries accurately and allocates them to their designated locations.
• Safely transports supplies and assembled items, including minor furniture like wheelchairs, to various clinical sites and departments.
• Ensures timely and efficient delivery schedules to meet operational needs.
• Provides courteous and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Assembles minor furniture items, such as wheelchairs, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
• Maintains accurate records of received shipments, deliveries, and assembly tasks.
• Assists in inventory control by updating databases and performing regular stock counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year of experience as receiving clerk or similar position in a warehouse/distribution environment
• 1 year of Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years of experience as receiving clerk or similar position in a warehouse/distribution environment.
