We are seeking a talented and motivated Centralized Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Centralized Services Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical support and services to our clients. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of shared services across multiple client environments.
Description:
In this role, as a Centralized Services Engineer, you'll work with a diverse range of technologies to design, implement, and maintain centralized infrastructure and services. You will be using basic and advanced network and infrastructure technologies along with occasional VoIP protocols. You will regularly be working with (and learning) the following technologies, including but not limited to: 3CX, Azure, Microsoft Teams, PowerShell, LAN Networking, Site-to-site and client-server VPN, Debian OS, Microsoft Windows Desktop & Server OS, Office 365, and Wireshark. What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide technical expertise and support for shared services, including but not limited to email systems, file sharing platforms, collaboration tools, and unified communications solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, and maintain shared services architectures that meet the needs of diverse client environments.
- Monitor shared services infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
- Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including software updates, patch management, and security enhancements, to ensure the integrity and security of shared services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for shared services technologies, providing guidance and recommendations to clients and internal teams on best practices and industry standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of automation and scripting solutions to streamline shared services management and support processes.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients by configuring and deploying shared services according to their requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve escalated technical issues and ensure timely resolution of client service requests.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to shared services, continuously evaluating and recommending new solutions and improvements to enhance service delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR) relevant to centralized services.
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including access control, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JSON, or Bash.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Working knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Driver's License
