RN/LPN/CMA - Pulmonology Pierce Street Clinic

Dayshift Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm
**$5,000.00 sign-on bonus for external candidates, paid over 12 months.
Responsibilities:
Join our Pulmonology Clinic team! In this role, you will support physicians in delivering high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients and assisting with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pulmonologists and healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments.
- Record patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs such as lung function, oxygen levels, and pulse, in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment for pulmonary procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and assist with diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and spirometry.
- Perform basic lab work, including collecting and processing specimens for respiratory-related tests.
- Educate patients on respiratory care, medication management, and proper use of inhalers, nebulizers, and other respiratory devices.
- Schedule follow-up appointments, diagnostic tests, and assist with referral coordination for specialist consultations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CMA Certification or Current RN/LPN License to practice in Iowa.
BLS and Mandatory Reporter.
