Vivo Infusion Certified Medical and Administrative Assistant:
The individual in this role will support our operations by working with patient providers, nurses, and patients by conducting administrative and patient care activities to keep the facility running smoothly. The Medical Assistant is responsible for initial patient greeting and general assisting of medical support in the center. This individual provides safe, effective, and compassionate care that is consistent with the State, Federal and Company guidelines, Company policies and procedures, and within his/her scope of practice.

Compensation Range:
$21.00 - $26.00/HR

Reports To: Clinic Manager
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming patient-centered experience for all Vivo visitors and patients.
- Support licensed personnel on duty with patient care activities, within the scope of practice.
- Assist with measuring vital signs, completing admissions forms, and obtaining pertinent patient information and medical history.
- Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed.
- Obtain prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and document
- Triage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriately
- Assists the clinic manager with placing orders and managing supplies and deliveries.
- Clean and stock the exam rooms, with the approved facility disinfectant. Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
- Provide administrative support to the facility.
- Assist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient records. Adhere to HIPPA.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent, required.
- Medical Assistant Certification or Registration, required.
- CPR/BLS Certification, required.
- 6 months of clinical experience, preferred.
- Phlebotomy and lab processing experience, preferred.
Additional skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients, and physicians.
- Must possess computer skills for electronic recordkeeping.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts (medical equipment and machinery). The employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color differentiation, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk and talk, hear and smell.
Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. He/she is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
The employee may be required to use safety equipment, PPE (personal protective equipment) that may include but not be limited to face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
