As the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Simpson Place in Dallas, TX, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents. These tasks are performed as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with facility policies.

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Key Responsibilities:
- Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
- Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
- Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
- Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Qualifications:
- State certification as a nurse aide is required
- State approved medication administration certification
- Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
- Highly developed observation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skill
