Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Certified Nurse Assistant to work through our agency as a contract employee with the state of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in Chattanooga, TN. This will be a full-time position working three 12.5-hour shifts per week from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm for the day shift and 7:00 pm to 7:30 am for the night shift. The pay rate for this position is $25 per hour.
Certified Nurse Assistant Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Under general supervision, Certified Nurse Assistants/Technicians will be responsible for psychiatric technical work of average difficulty and will perform related work as required.
- May work in direct care on patient units in a psychiatric hospital with responsibilities including providing daily living care, individualized teaching, group teaching, and supervised medical assistance.
- May work as a unit coordinator or admissions clerk with responsibilities such as entering/editing patient information into a database, ordering medical and office supplies, explaining admission procedures, taking vital signs, and collecting other information form patients at the time of admission and other clerical or patient care work.
- May be assigned to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Education and Experience Required for Certified Nursing Assistant position:
- Currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Technician and have experience equivalent to one year of experience.
- Local to the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.
Minimum Requirements Upon Hire:
- Current American Heart Association/BLS CPR-Basic Life Support Provider that is active for at least 1 year *(we ONLY accept AHA/BLS, we DO NOT accept American Red Cross; we DO NOT accept online CPR certifications).
- A 2-Step TB Skin Test *(must be willing to provide results of this test 2 weeks before starting position upon hire).
- MUST be willing to receive Influenza immunization annually.
- MANDATORY orientation upon hire *(6 days for nurses).
- MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
