Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Day Shift 6AM-6PM - Cascades at Port Arthur

Hello, Cascades at Port Arthur, located at 6600 9th Avenue, is actively looking to hire a full-time CNA for Day Shift (6AM-6PM). YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED.

A few details about your day-to-day:

• Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
• Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
• Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
• Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
• Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
• Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff

What we need from you:

• Possess a current Texas CNA certification in good standing
• Effectively communicate on a personal level with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc.
• Able to make decisions independently when warranted
• Reliable, kind, hard-working
• Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long term care
