Requirements:
The CNA position requires:
Valid CNA Certification in good standing – Illinois Certification preferred
Current CPR certificate a plus
Must have excellent patient care and customer service skills
All candidates must have excellent written/verbal communication, documentation, and computer skills
Lift and move up to 25 pounds
Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchairs up and down the halls and handicap accessible ramps
Stand, walk, stoop, or kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk to and hear residents, family members and others
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for assisting our residents with their daily routines, responding to resident needs with care and compassion. Assisting Nurses or Physicians in the operation of medical equipment or provision of patient care. Duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or changing linens. You may also be responsible for transferring or transporting patients. Other responsibilities include:
Providing the most enjoyable wellness care to the resident
- Helping residents meet their daily needs and empower them to function at the highest possible level
Assist residents to look and feel their best every day, through personal care
Answering resident’s calls and needs promptly and with an “I can do†attitude and smile
Working with and building relationships with co-workers, residents, family members, and visitors
Helping residents live a meaningful life day in and day out through their abilities and not their disabilities
