Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights of the residents at the community. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. The Certified Nurse Assistant will render personal care to residents as needed, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders, including identification of physical and cognitive changes, documentation, and communication to appropriate staff.
- Assist residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
- Assist dining services with mealtime serving, clearing, and setting of tables.
- Assist with resident laundry, including personal washing and bedding change.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations
Experience: 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferred

- Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion in working with the elderly
