Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting with various medical procedures. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and contribute to their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take vital signs and record patient information
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse
- Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Assist with documentation and maintaining accurate medical records
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
- Knowledge of electronic medical record system is preferred
- Experience in patient assessment, aseptic technique, and primary care is desired
- Ability to work in various healthcare settings such as assisted living facilities, and nursing homes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
- Familiarity with dementia care and critical care is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
