Pay: $22 to $23/hour
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current certification as a CNA in the state of Hawaii
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Type: Full & part-time; Contract
Schedule: Day & Night Shift
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a CNA to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure; report any changes to nursing staff
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during their stay
- Help patients move safely, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs and other locations
- Accurately document patient care and changes in health status, including input/output and any observed behaviors or symptoms
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, advocating for patients’ needs and preferences
- Assist in the use of medical equipment and supplies as needed, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
