Nursefinders of Binghamton is seeking experienced C.N.A.'s for per diem and block booking opportunities. All shift Available. Premium Pay.
The role of a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) is to provide direct patient care services under the supervision of the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse according to the philosophy, policies and procedures of the department of nursing. The C.N.A. works in a wide variety of settings including: hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities to maintain and support activities of daily living of patients and residents.
Certified Nursing Assistant Job Duties:
•Providing patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, Assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
•Providing assistant with daily living activities by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
•Maintaining patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
•Providing patient’s comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
•Documenting actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
•Maintaining work operations by following policies and procedure

Requirements
- 6 months of C.N.A. experience within the past 3 years in similar setting
- New York State Certification
- BLS or CPR certification
