This is a part time position

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment programs designed by the Occupational Therapist to improve the patient's ability to perform daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and eating.
• Guide residents through exercises, adaptive techniques, and use of equipment designed to improve function.
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper technique.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the Occupational Therapist for further assessment.
• Educate residents and their families on techniques for continuing therapy at home.
• Instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment such as walkers, splints, or specialized utensils.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a COTA in AZ
• Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• 1+ year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled patients.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and daily tasks.
