About the Job
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team and service our Piedmont, SC patients. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses.
This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus. This is a full-time 8-hr position (8:00AM-5:00PM) (Monday-Friday).
We need COTA's to service in homes in the following area(s):
- Piedmont County
As a part of our team, you will:
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients in their homes.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities under the guidance of the occupational therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and home care procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other team members to provide a supportive and positive care environment.
Must Haves:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Previous experience in home health or a similar setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR certification.
