Sarasota, FL - Fully remote position, must be a Florida resident

Salary negotiable - $27.90/hr-$43.60 per hour based on experience

Bonus - $2500 for 2 year commitment to the department

Job Summary

Responsible for computer abstracting of cancer cases to meeting American College of Surgeons Commission on cancer (ACOS) and Florida Cancer Data Systems (FCDS) requirements. Maintains a computerized master file and accession register. Perform a variety of duties involved in the organization, oversight and documentation of a cancer registry in an ACOS accredited program.

Required Qualifications

- Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Cancer Registry-related position.

- Require the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) Oncology data Specialist (OPDS) certification.

- Requires active Florida Cancer data Systems Abstractor Code.

- Require an Associates degree in related field or related experience on a year to year basis and high school diploma can be considered in -

- Prefer demonstrated computer experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office System.

- Prefer demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and utilize organizational skills.
