Wexford Area: The Pine Township Community Center is seeking a Part Time Certified Personal Trainer
$25 Per Hour + Gym Membership (with small 1x fee), Sick Hours, Flexible Hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures all equipment is safe for participant use prior to training and all equipment is stored in designated areas at conclusion of training session.
- Timely scheduling and communication with personal training participants, evaluating and utilizing pre-training documentation and post-training session feedback.
- Conduct thorough assessment of participants' fitness levels, goals, medical history, and prepare appropriate training plan
- Develops customizable workout plans tailored to participants' needs with differentiated training methods
- Continues to learn and remain aware of latest fitness trends, industry standards, and research to continually improve quality of service.
- Enforces rules, age participation regulations, family definitions and general Pine Community Park rules and regulations;
- Able to provide professional critique or discussion with guests, of all ages, regarding forementioned rules and regulations;
- Maintains and uses appropriate language that is customer service centered, respectful, friendly and family centric. Vulgar or inappropriate language will not be tolerated;
- Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports;
- Communicate with leadership, regularly, on staffing, events, safety concerns, equipment failure, supply shortage, incidents, observe, witness to inappropriate behavior, or other;
- Maintains confidentiality with sensitive events, members, customers, visitors, employees, corporate sensitive information, etc;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key community stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Nationally accredited training certification (i.e. ACSM, ACE, AFAA)
- One or more years working as a personal trainer preferred
- Obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within 1 month of hire
Clearance Requirements
- FBI Fingerprinting Clearance;
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance;
- PA Criminal Background Check Clearance;
- Mandated Reporter Certification;
- CPR and/or AED Certification or willing to become certified;
Other Qualifications
- Reliable, trustworthy and comfortable with independent work atmosphere
- Prioritization of assigned tasks;
- Problem solver, excellent communication, basic computer skills;
- Provides an enthusiastic and welcoming customer service experience
