2. Job Summary and Qualifications
3. Administers all therapy modalities to adult patients per physician orders.
4. Initiates, operates and monitors mechanical ventilators, and NIVV.
5. Performs arterial puncture, and blood gas and electrolyte analysis.
6. Responds to all Code Blue and Rapid Response Calls.
7. Adheres to established quality control protocol.
8. Verifies all physician orders prior to therapy.
9. Conducts thorough, accurate report to oncoming staff.
10. Enters all patient interventions and updates into Meditech.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• Active Virginia Licensure – Respiratory Therapist.
• Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from NBRC
• Preferred: One-year adult critical care experience. Preferred: Strong clinical skills in mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis and oximetry.
