JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
JOB SUMMARY
- Under the direction of the Operating Room Clinical Leader, works as a team member in assisting the doctors, nurses and other operating room workers. Sets up the operating surgeon`s sterile table trying to anticipate what might be needed during the procedure. Assists in donning gowns, gloves, and masks as well as passing instruments to the surgeons. Assists with cleaning the operating room after an operation. Assists with transporting patients to and from the operating room. Helps keep track of equipment/supplies. Operates machinery in the operating room. Mandatory certification requirement after one year of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Professional & Technical Skills
- Graduate of approved school for Surgical Technologists.
Education
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
License(s) or Certification(s)
- CPR Certification
- Other Skills or Requirements
Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups ( incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)

They will be under the direction of the surgeon and/or circulating nurse.
