Job Description:
- Preoperative Preparation: Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Instrument Handling: Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures, ensuring efficient and precise operations.
- Patient Care: Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Sterilization: Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols and procedures.
- Postoperative Duties: Assist in the care and cleaning of surgical instruments and the operating room following procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless and effective surgical care.
- Documentation: Accurately document procedures, equipment used, and any pertinent patient information in medical records.
Education + Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
