Certified Surgical Technologist FT - United Surgical Partners International

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antoniois seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Tech to join our team. We have 20 private suites and 5 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Bariatric, Orthopedic, General, Neuro/Spine, ENT, Pain, Urology.

Job Summary:The Surgical Tech provides direct and indirect services to the surgical patient under the supervision of the professional nurse and performs tasks as necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the operating room, as well as the delivery of quality of care. Monitors par level of surgical supplies. Maintains the proper functioning of surgical instruments. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a formal accredited surgical technician-training program.
• Certified in surgical technology
• Minimum 1 year experience required. No news grads
• BLS
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Care and handling of surgical instruments
• Aseptic technique
• Principles of Standard Precautions
• Principles of decontamination and sterilization
