Summary

The Surgical Technologist 2 is a certified technologist and allied health care professional providing an advanced level of surgical care to patients within the Ambulatory Surgery Center under the supervision of perioperative nurses and surgeons. The Surgical Technologist utilizes AORN's Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices and AST Standards of Practice as a reference to ensure quality, safety and appropriateness of patient care

Education

Graduate from an accredited Certificate or Associate Degree program in Surgical Technology.

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Experience

At least one year experience as a surgical technologist.
