About the Job
Position Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our client, a prestigious firm. This role is critical in ensuring financial stability, strategic growth, and operational efficiency. As a key partner to executive leadership, the CFO will oversee all financial functions, including cash flow management, financial planning, risk management, and compliance.
Pay: $170-$275k as well as health benefits and 401k.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the firm’s financial strategy to support its mission and goals.
- Lead long-term budgeting and cost management aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Provide strategic insights to enhance financial performance and identify new business opportunities.
Financial Management:
- Direct all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee financial forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Establish and enforce effective internal controls, maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Operational Efficiency:
- Drive financial and operational performance improvements.
- Develop systems to provide critical financial insights and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, valuing quality and learning.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage business risks and insurance needs.
- Oversee the firm’s risk management framework, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and banking partners.
- Serve as a primary contact for financial matters involving clients, vendors, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior financial role, with experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate financial law, risk management, and compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in team development.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
