Business OCM: Communication Lead
This person will lead the development of a communication strategy, plans and materials with the associated deliverables. These deliverables would include but are not limited to:
Develop a comprehensive communication strategy
Develop a comprehensive communication plan
Develop communication templates (Internal/External)
Develop master communication delivery schedule
This individual must have strong project management and planning skills. They must be comfortable and adept at communications (formal and informal) and have a solid understanding of communication strategies. They must be comfortable and effective in building relationships across the organizational spectrum, including executive (C-level) communication. They must be able to manage and leverage existing resources and dispersed often “dotted line” non OCM team members. This is a “hands on” role and includes deliverables development as well as strategy development and planning. This role will be under the direction and guidance of the program owner.
Responsibilities:
During the lifecycle of the program the OCM Communication lead will:
Developing an organizational change approach for varied complexity projects or program workstreams using a defined methodology, including sponsorship, communications, training, reinforcement, and resistance management
Developing communication strategies, plans and materials
Collaborate with project stakeholders (business users, HR professionals, IT) to identify user-specific communication needs based on roles, functionalities, and desired outcomes. Assess current communication preferences to design appropriate communication plans
Align communication strategies, plans and activities to tell a cohesive story across the entire program.
Develop and define strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps for communicating to diverse audiences
Maintaining a high degree of cross-functional team coordination
Skill Level
Demonstrated 5+ years of experience working with Organizational Change Management Communication tools and techniques, including:
Expertise in Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities such as OCM communication, OCM Training and OCM Readiness.
Experience in a framework for managing the effect of new business processes, new technology or changes in organizational culture within an enterprise.
Proven experience in creating and delivering engaging communication strategies.
Strong understanding of storytelling and communication methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to captivate and engage diverse audiences.
The candidate should also have experience with design and development of Communication Plans and Materials
The candidate must be technology aware and should have experience with technology projects.

This role is on-site (with hybrid options) and no travel expenses will be covered.

VS&Co. is currently working under a legacy continuing services agreement predating the recent business separation for Transportation Services. At the end of the current CSA (set to expire Sep ’26), the legacy provider will no longer support the VS&Co. North American Transportation Network.
Victoria’s Secret & Co. (VS&Co.) is undergoing a significant operational transformation, stemming from our recent corporate reorganization. This request seeks OCM partnership to support VS&Co. in reshaping our people, process and technology in lieu of a new North American Transportation Network. The scale of this change is significant! Thousands of associates (both Internal & External) will undergo significant changes to their daily work and will need to adapt to new processes and systems.
*This change will directly impact over 10,000+ individuals, spanning our Home Office, Distribution Centers, Retail Stores, and extending to our network of Vendors and Suppliers.
OCM effort will be broken into 2 phases – Strategy (phase 1) and Execution (phase 2).
This effort will focus OCM Strategy (Phase 1) and specific deliverables include, but are not limited to:
Develop/oversee a comprehensive OCM strategy
Develop master training delivery schedule
Sponsor and stakeholder analysis
Communication strategy, plan & templates
Current & Future state process documentation with Change Impact Analysis
End user training instructional design materials list
Functional cutover plan (in coordination with the Business Leads)
There is a desire to leverage the same OCM resources in phase 2 Execution but scope will be determined during phase 1.

Experience in large scale transformation (5,000+ impacted individuals)
What are some disqualifiers?
What is your timeline for reviewing, interviewing, and hiring a candidate?
Start date could be as early as 12/2/24 (still gaining alignment with Sr. Leadership). 2 weeks to collect resumes, 2 weeks to conduct interviews and make decision
What is the interview process for this role?
Individuals will interview with a panel including myself (accountable leader), VSIT Leader (Karen Kelly) and 1 other member of our Project Team (Director or above)
What would a typical day look like in this role as far as workload?
This role will be hybrid with required in office work days. Hours would be 8 hrs daily between the hours of 8am – 6pm
Is there a chance this will be extended? Is there a chance for this worker to be converted to a full-time position? Even though you can't guarantee a timeline of conversion, when was the last time you converted a contractor on your team?
Ultimately, the goal would be to transition this person(s) to phase 2 of the project (OCM execution). There would be no desire to convert to FTE.
