About the job
As a Channel Development Manager for Service, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the channel strategy for your designated area of responsibility within Alfa Laval. Your efforts will directly contribute to our continued growth and transformation into a modern, customer-centric, data-driven organization. You will have the opportunity to formulate and execute a comprehensive channel strategy aligned with our divisional goals and local sales company objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass creating a service channel roadmap, collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and capital channel teams, you will drive the execution of strategies, and contribute to the enhancement of our customer-centric approach.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Define the channel strategy for service together with the service sales directors and marketing, supporting the definition of the best way to market strategy for the different customer segmentation, products, services, applications, and territories.
- Create a short- and long-term plan for channel base.
- Define roadmap for different channels based on territory and potential.
- Drive channel partnership relations.
- Lead & inspire the channels.
- Develop channel metrics for performance management, effectiveness, customer acquisition and growth.
- Set cadence for periodic channel performance and strategy review.
- Manage incentive plans and distributor discount structures.
- Challenge the way business is conducted, creating new effective and efficient ways to work.
- Maintain a pool of potential new channels. New channel evaluation and selection.
- Intelligence to both map competitor's channels and activities and identify opportunities for Alfa Laval.
- Support new channel on-boarding process.
- Support initiatives for continuous partner improvement: tools for self-sufficiency, refresh and hands-on training, updates on new service products.
- Channel rationalization as needed.
- Work closely with Capital Channel Manager to ensure strategic alignment.
- Support development of online channel platforms that helps reaching out to more customers on a faster and more effective way.
What you know:
You have BA with relevant experience, and:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in channel management roles.
- Knowledge in heat exchange products and applications, service, or process industries.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to foster effective teamwork.
- Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and guide your channel team towards achieving their targets.
- A track record of data-driven decision-making and a commitment to customer-centric approaches.
- Ability to think strategic & create long term plans
- Acts with confidence and clarity
- Strong business acumen
