Responsibilities:Experience:
- Experience, preferably in a hospital setting, working as part of a team.
Education:
- Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or Pastoral Studies with at least four (4) units of clinical pastoral education (or its equivalent).
- Must obtain certification by NACC or APC or certification within 18 months to move to a Chaplain II.
Licensure:
- Certification eligible within 3 years of hire.
- BCC-APC Board Certified Chaplain APC (THE ASSOC PROF CHAP)
- BCC-BCC Board Certified Chaplain BCC (BRD CHAPLAINCY CERT)
- CHAPLAIN Catholic Chaplain (NATL ASSOC CATH CHAP)
Skill Skills:
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of spiritual care practices as well as general
office practices, including records management. - Familiarity with current medical ethical issues and the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Facilities.
- Some understanding of other denominations, faiths and sensitivity to diverse cultures required.
- Ability to speak Spanish or Southeast Asian language helpful.
