Job Description

• Direct evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Make daily rounds, follow up with residents that have had a change in condition as needed and address findings appropriately
• Review new admissions to your assigned area to ensure resident’s plan of care is implemented per physicians orders and plan of care and continue plan of care modifications per schedule and as needed for resident change in condition
• Transcribe majority of admission orders on new admits to your assigned wing to assist charge nurses
• Assess resident equipment and supply needs, and make recommendations to the DON
• Complete reports and assignments accurately and adhere to established time schedules and to work with other RN’s to ensure 8 hours of RN coverage daily
• Establish open lines of communication between all nursing personnel and consistently take follow-up action as necessary, and to provide clinical supervision for charge nurses
• Counsel CNA’s, and recommend personnel action to the DON as necessary, and participate in employee evaluation process by providing information on staff performance of job functions
• Assist as needed the Infection Control Coordinator with employee evaluations and compliance with policies
• Be responsible for the residents under his/her care
• Be willing to work all shifts and positions in the facility per scope as needed
• Other duties may be required
