Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a strong background in litigation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. You will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in all phases of litigation.
- Draft, review, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage case files, including filing and organizing documents both electronically and physically.
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and depositions, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively.
- Maintain and update case management systems and ensure all case-related information is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits and witness lists.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary, preferably in a litigation setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software (e.g., Clio, PracticePanther).
- Strong knowledge of court rules and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive approach and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Pay Details: $19.50 per hour
