The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, - is $41,000 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
+ Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
+ Shift Premium (ranges between 75 - 95 cents per hour)

HOURS OF WORK:
This position requires flexibility. This position will generally work an 8-hour rotating shift on Monday to Friday and overtime 12-hour shifts on weekends . Though this is the current schedule, shifts are subject to change based upon business conditions.- Candidates must be able to work on any shift as assigned.
The right candidate for this position is interested and happy to work overtime.-
+ High school or equivalent.-
+ Working knowledge and experience with computers is essential.
+ Preferred: 2 year associate degree, prior experience with Hazardous materials
+ This position requires some mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.- The incumbent must work with hazardous materials, and on second story platforms. Must be able to perform physical labors as per standard operating procedures.
+ Safety equipment including safety glasses, safety shoes, required at all times.- Respirator, gloves, hearing protection required as per standard operating procedures and/or as directed.
+ Forklift truck certification required.
SUMMARY:
The incumbent in the Chemical Operator position will be a member of USW Local Union 4-2058. In this role, the individual will perform all required operations in order to produce Ekonol Polyester Resin from raw materials at our facility in Wheatfield, NY.
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team.- Operators are responsible for the productive & efficient operations of equipment for the manufacture of product. The priority is to ensure the service and quality of product.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Charges Reactors and makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper and safe operations.
+ Operates weighing, transfer, charging, mixing, and related equipment for the manufacture of product
+ Maintains and controls specified operating conditions during the manufacture of polymer as directed
+ Documents process conditions and batch/lot information
+ Coordinates the operation of various equipment and process to ensure efficiency and safety
+ Adjusts equipment and performs minor operating maintenance
+ Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area
+ Unload raw materials as received
+ Loads materials for shipping
+ Moves and handles material throughout the work area
+ Performs general labor duties as required and or instructed
+ Operates fork truck in a safe manner
+ Performs duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and as directed by the supervisor
+ Prepares material for final packaging and shipping containers
+ Packages and labels finished product as per standard operating procedure
+ Prepares Hazardous waste materials and containers in accordance to company and OSHA requirements
+ Assists in the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste material for removal
+ Assists in Inventory counts
+ May assist in training new employees as necessary
