As the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) for Parameta Solutions, you will play a key role in overseeing the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead the global accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of all financial statements and compliance with applicable standards such as US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulatory standards including SEC requirements.
- Lead and develop the global accounting team, driving process improvements and enhancing reporting capabilities.
- Provide strategic leadership on accounting policy decisions, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Work closely with the CFO to support financial planning, capital allocation, and business strategy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies, including the SEC, and oversee all compliance activities.
- Manage and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Collaborate with the broader finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive business performance.
- Engage with key stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights that support decision-making and long-term growth.
Experience / Competences:
Essential:
- CPA or equivalent certification in accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of accounting experience, including significant leadership roles in corporate accounting, ideally in a multinational, matrixed organisation.
- Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, US GAAP, and IFRS.
- Proven experience working within public companies, with a deep understanding of public reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, geographically dispersed accounting teams, including direct oversight of technical accounting, financial reporting, and controls.
- Strong experience in optimising financial systems, processes, and implementing new accounting tools (e.g., Oracle Financials, Workday, or similar ERP systems).
- In-depth knowledge of compliance, risk management, and governance in financial reporting.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence senior management, board members, and external auditors.
- Direct involvement in mergers and acquisitions, including post-transaction integration from an accounting perspective.
Desired:
- MBA or Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience working within global accounting functions and multi-jurisdictional tax reporting.
- Familiarity with advanced accounting tools such as Power BI and financial automation platforms.
- Understanding of FP&A processes and ability to collaborate closely with FP&A teams.
- Experience working for or with one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
- Experience within the financial services industry, particularly in areas related to market data, analytics, or financial technology (FinTech).
- Track record of contributing to strategic decisions around capital allocation, financial structuring, and corporate growth initiatives.
Job Level & Band: Functional Head / 9
Base Salary Range: USD 280,000 - 315,000
