Chief Administrative Officer

CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Chief Administrative Officer and member of the Executive Team to:
- Oversee the daily administrative operations of the organization, including, but not limited to Support Services, Human Resources, Education, Quality Improvement, Strategy and Communications functions.
- Work to strategically plan, develop, and implement a variety of strategies, programs, and initiatives across responsible functions to support the accomplishment of goals and objectives.
THE POSITION
CareStar is looking for motivated individuals who:
- Recommends, develops, and implements approved company policies and procedures, serves on policy committees, provides guidance, direction, and resources to Management Team. Ensures that all are maintained in their most current form and substance.
- Manages and coordinates the administrative (e.g., Support Services, Human Resources, Education, Quality Improvement, Strategy and Communications) functions of the organization.
- Supports the President and CEO with all subpoenas and legal matters of the organization.
- Directly supervises, manages, and oversees teams and employees in the Support Services, Human Resources, Education, Quality Improvement, Strategy and Communications Departments.
- Develops educational and individual Career Pathway Plan for key positions to ensure there is always a Succession Plan in place for key positions.
- Works with President and CEO and Executive Management Team to develop, manage and implement CareStar’s Strategic Plan.
- Provides leadership on the performance management/appraisal process and position description system working closely with Management Team.
- Works with the President and CEO to develop a Compensation Policy and continuously updates the policy as needed.
- Issues specific annual objectives to immediate direct reports, and their teams, and reviews the accomplishment of these objectives.
- Oversees training development, execution and tracking to support employee development and licensure maintenance.
- Oversees quality improvement activities and initiatives (e.g., chart audits, root cause/countermeasure activities, etc.) to facilitate process improvement.
- Oversees compensation strategies and programs to ensure fairness, regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
- Oversees Health and Welfare Plan and Retirement Plan compliance, including preparation of annual census, audit, distributions, and notices to employees.
- Manages and oversees Company website and other public communications (e.g., social media, Indeed, Glassdoor, BBB, subpoenas, etc.) ensuring Mission, Vision, Values and Brand consistency.
- Develops, on a scheduled ad hoc basis, internal communications to ensure excellent communications and maintenance of culture throughout the organization.
- Advises, consults, and coordinates with the President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Sr. Vice President of Sales and their teams. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting responsible functions and ensures policies, procedures, execution and reporting are in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
- Oversees, analyzes, and evaluates the development of information technology affecting Administration.
- Participates and presents at Leadership Retreats, and Supervisor Leadership Meetings, and Company Update Days.
- Participates in sales presentations, RFPs, RFIs and other proposals to drive new and expanded business with clients.
- Serves on work groups, community groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested.
- Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
- Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality as related to patient, client and business information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
- Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Human Resources or related field is required.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Health Services Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ prior experience in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Human Resources.
- Additional certifications in related discipline preferred. Ongoing healthcare, social services financial and general business education required as assigned by the President and CEO.
- Two to five years of prior experience performing as a Vice President or Functional Leader in a Company of similar size or larger.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office Programs, other applications used by CareStar and other applications as needed or added by the Company.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.

This position is open in Cincinnati, OH and will be an office-based position.
