Job DescriptionAs the Chief Engineer, you will lead and oversee all aspects of the facilities maintenance department. This includes directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and ensuring the successful completion of projects, either directly or through subordinate supervisors.
- Plans and formulates the engineering program, organizing project staff based on project requirements.
- Manages the entire Engineering team, ensuring overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project, including technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Reviews product designs to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinates activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and testing issues.
- Directs integration of technical activities and products.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
- Prepares interim and completion project reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner.
Requirements
- Must have HVAC and CPO certifications.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
