Our client is seeking a

direct-hire for a



Chief Estimator

to join their esteemed estimating group at their Novi, Michigan headquarters. This is a high-profile role with excellent growth opportunities and involves working closely with senior management to develop comprehensive construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build projects. Projects include renovations and new constructions of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, storage reservoirs, and more.

Responsibilities

:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for self-performed civil/site work including:

Structural Concrete

Excavation and Grading

Structural/Selective Demolition

Site Utilities

Develop work scopes and solicit subcontractor pricing for other civil/site and architectural work necessary for the projects.

Collaborate with senior management to analyze project requirements, assess risks, and provide cost-effective solutions.

Utilize computer-based estimating tools and software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 software is advantageous.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in construction cost estimating, preferably within the water and wastewater infrastructure sector.

Strong computer-based estimating skills.

Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

HeavyBID software experience

Experience estimating both public and private projects

Nice to Have:

Experience working for a general contractor in wastewater estimating

Experience leading a team of other estimators
