TGC Search is partnered with a top mechanical contracting firm in the Hartford Connecticut area looking to add a Chief Mechanical Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed bids and attending pre- and post-bid meetings while building strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed bids for mechanical projects.
- Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings to represent the company and ensure project alignment.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project scope and requirements.
- Work on projects across various sectors including industrial, commercial, healthcare, and educational.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience estimating projects up to $5 million in process piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with competitive bids, negotiated estimates, and design-build projects.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical piping, airside systems, and related trades.
Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated and a strong team player.
- Ability to provide solutions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
